Thai Panga Farm Co. LTD is a new Thai company which is establishing a vertically integrated farming operation for the production of high quality, organic certified Pangasius fish destined to international export markets. The operation seeks to become the leading manufacturer of organic certified fish products in SE Asia, produced under stringent environmental standards and criteria for sustainable production. Thai Panga Farm is a market-based venture with an established network of international retail clients seeking high quality and sustainable fish and seafood products. The farm infrastructure consists of a modern and sophisticated grow-out farm (40 ha) with on site hatchery and nursery near the City of Kalasin (Kalasin province, Thailand). For the management of the fish production, Thai Panga Farm is looking for an experienced and highly motivated FARM MANAGER.

Job Profile

- Operational management of the fish production including hatchery with a total of 40 employees
- Main areas of concern are management and constant improvement of fish production according to client orders, supervision of programs for disease prevention, scientific monitoring and on-farm research
- The farm manager will furthermore be in charge of administrative work and human resource management
- The farm manager will directly report to the director of Thai Panga Farm and closely work with Blueyou Consultancy for compliance with international market standards and on-client production of fish for exports markets in Europe and the US
- Working place is Thai Panga Farm near the City of Kalasin, Kalasin Province

Qualification Profile

- University degree in aquaculture
- Professional management experience with at least 5 years practical experience in aquaculture production (preferably tropical fresh water fish)
- Excellent skills for managing a quality-oriented fish farm under stringent environmental standards
- Strong personality with very good social skills for human resource management
- Excellent language skills (English required, Thai is a plus)
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft office especially Excel is a must)
- Interest and personal motivation for sustainable aquaculture and environmental issues

The person must be willing and capable of living in a rural setting in the northeast of Thailand.
